Epstein’s ex-girlfriend Maxwell is currently sentenced to 20 years in prison for seeking a young girl from a shamed financier.
Last week, Maxwell was called to prove the scope of Epstein’s crimes before the House Oversight Committee. After that, Maxwell’s legal team said she would speak only if the immunity was granted, and the group refused.
“The oversight committee will respond soon to Ms. Maxwell’s attorney, but it will not consider granting Congressional immunity to her testimony,” a spokesperson said.
A few days later, Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche went to Florida to meet Maxwell in federal court, where she answered questions about Epstein.
Additionally, Maxwell’s legal team submitted a summary Monday asking the U.S. Supreme Court to hear her appeal for her 2021 conviction. Her attorney claimed she should be included in the 2007 non-litigation agreement developed by Epstein with authorities, which saved him from facing federal charges in Florida.
Ministry of Justice Assert that the agreement does not include Maxwell.
The Supreme Court plans to discuss accepting Maxwell’s appeal on September 29.
Maxwell’s legal team also said she would “openly, honestly, openly” if Trump granted pardons – a right the president acknowledged by his right, but added that he has not been asked to do so.

Maxwell’s attorney previously said: “She welcomes the opportunity to share the truth and eliminate many of the misunderstandings and misrepresentations that have plagued the case from the outset.”
