Hudson competed to represent the Maine fishing family after Hudson’s childhood family went bankrupt.
“As the daughter of a displaced fisherman, I am willing to use my voice to protect the ephemeral traditions and the traditions of Maine fishing families to prevent others from experiencing the same dilemma as mine,” Hudson wrote. On Instagram.
On Saturday afternoon, the Maine online voting page crashed, so the update result was unknown.
The latest leader in the online voting ahead of the crash was Lexi Bjork, a student at the University of Southern Maine, with more than 1,400 votes.
