Federal judge ruled President Donald Trump His actions were illegal when he seized control of the California National Guard during the ice-related riots in Los Angeles.
U.S. District Judge Charles R. Breyer issued a decision Thursday with Gov. Gavin Newsom And ordered Trump to immediately “immediately”.
“His actions were illegal – both beyond his legal authority and violated the Tenth Amendment to the United States Constitution,” Breyer wrote. “So he must immediately return control of the California National Guard to the governor of California.”
“The federal system is not optional,” the rule said. “Even the president cannot pass Fiat legislation.”

Looking ahead, Judge Breyer arranged a hearing to determine whether the temporary restraining order should be a preliminary injunction.

Bonta also stressed that the situation in Los Angeles did not justify the military response. “We have no rebellion. We are not threatened by invasion. There is nothing to prevent the federal government from enforcing federal laws,” he said.

He cites support from top retired military officials. “Just yesterday, a group of former Army and Navy secretaries, as well as retired four-star admirals and generals, supported our lawsuit,” Bonta noted. They warned against illegal family deployments that “threatening national security and disaster relief missions.”
“The fact is that the president is looking for anyone who pretends to put the army on the streets of the United States to intimidate and quiet those who disagree with him. It’s not only immoral, but dangerous, and illegal,” Bonta said.
“We would rather have a president who comply with the law and comply with the constitution,” he said. “It is not a good thing for the great American America to be a president who often violates the law and is so contemptuous of the American Constitution and the rule of law.”
“He did this again, and it’s a responsibility to me and my Democratic Attorney General…be consistent, unwavering, unapologetic and unshakable, and we promise to ask him (him) for help every time the law is violated,” Bonta said.

However, the Trump administration disagrees and says the court’s ruling puts many federal officials in danger.
