Kim Kardashian in Paris

Eight people were found guilty after American reality TV star Kim Kardashian was robbed on multi-million-dollar jewelry in Paris nearly a decade ago.

Four people participating in the robbery were sentenced to up to eight years in prison, but most of the terms were suspended. Both were acquitted.

During Paris Fashion Week 2016, nine men and one woman were charged with conducting or assisting with an armed burglary of $10 million (£7.55 million) worth of jewelry, including diamond engagement rings.

“Crime was the most horrible experience of my life and had a lasting impact on me and my family,” Kardashian said in a statement after the verdict.

“While I will never forget what happened, I believe in the power of growth and accountability and pray for everyone.”

On the evening of October 3-4, 2016, a group of people entered the building when Kardashian was in the room at the Hotel de Pourtales in central Paris.

DNA evidence proved that AOMAR AIT AIT KHEDACHE, 69, and Yunice Abbas, 71, placed it on the scene of the crime, and the two admitted their involvement.

Khedache was sentenced to eight years in prison on Friday, with five of which were suspended.

Meanwhile, Abbas, along with Didier Dubreucq, was sentenced to seven years in prison and sentenced to five people to five.

The fourth member of the robbery gang, Marc-Alexandre Boyer, 35, was sentenced to the same sentence.
