I remember when the eyebrow laminate first launched in a salon in the UK. I was one of the first to try it. I have very stubborn eyebrows, even with the strongest ones Eyebrow gel. And I know that eyebrows are sisters, not twins, but judging by the way my eyebrows grow, sometimes I doubt they know each other. Only too many eyebrow pencil It can be done, but eyebrow lamination makes them look more symmetrical, while holding them in place all day long and making them look fuller and fluffy.
Eyebrow laminate kits at home have now become easier to use and affordable since the eyebrow laminate hits the salon, so you don’t have to visit the professionals to achieve engraved, fluffy eyebrows. But, honestly: I went through a lot of trial and error when I was covering my eyebrows at home. I tried some eyebrow lamination kits and made a lot of mistakes – hello, werewolf eyebrows and hair.

But now, through a lot of testing, I think I finally have the ideal effect on my eyebrows. So if you want to put eyebrows on at home, I want to share my notes with you. Scroll forward for a step-by-step guide on how to use all the key tips and tricks at home to get the best results for you and your eyebrows.
How to Laminate Eyebrows at Home
First, you need to do patch testing at least 24 hours in advance before using any at-home eyebrow lamination kit to make sure your skin doesn’t respond to any solution. A great place to go is inside your arms or behind your ears.
1. Clean eyebrows
So now that you have finished the patch test and can do it, you want to start with a fresh canvas. Most eyebrow lamination kits come with a small cleanser that removes all makeup, oil or debris from around the eyebrows for the best results. If you don’t have anything or run out of it in the kit, some micelle water on the cotton pad can also solve the problem. I have sensitive eyes and skin, so I also like to apply some water tube or vaseline around my eyebrows to help protect my skin before moving on to the next step.
2. Apply eyebrows and shapes
Within your eyebrow lamination kit, you will come with eyebrows (or adhesive) as well as some nipple-loading brushes or Y-shaped combs. I think this step is the most critical. This part is about creating the shapes you want to fix your eyebrows, so take a moment until you are happy with them. You want to saturate one eyebrow with the adhesive at a time (as the adhesive dries) and use a comb or brush to carve the eyebrows into place. The combs produce a fluffy effect when pushing the full length of the eyebrows onto the skin, while the spool brushes have a softer fluffy look.
Depending on what you want, you have some options. You can really stretch your hair to create a fluffy effect, or strategically coax certain areas if you want to address specific parts of your eyebrows, such as the arch or the beginning of your forehead. As the forehead gels dry, it will put them in place and feel the touch.
3. Apply perming solutions
Now that you are happy with the shape and position of your hair, it’s time to apply the Perming solution. Most kits come with some tiny applicator sticks to dip it into the Perming solution, but if you don’t have one, you can use a cotton cloth that can evenly distribute the product to your eyebrows. Make sure to apply your eyebrows to a spacious layer. Be careful not to disturb the position of the eyebrows below.
Perming solution works by breaking down protein bonds in the eyebrows, so it is the first stage of putting the eyebrows in place. Check the instructions for the kit as the timing may vary, but usually you need to place it between the thickness of your eyebrows between 3-8 minutes. My eyebrows are on the thicker side, so I usually choose about 6-7 minutes. If it is your first time, start from 3-4 minutes. However, if in doubt, spend less time than you think and set a timer on your phone so that it doesn’t stay for too long.
4. Remove Perming Solution and Apply Fixed Solution
Time is up, please delete the Perming solution. You can use a dry cotton pad (don’t use water as we want to avoid water on your eyebrows now) to sweep and sweep the solution outward to not interfere with your eyebrows. Y-shaped combs are also good at removing excess products.
Next, you want to apply a fixing or setting solution that sets the keys in the eyebrows to the appropriate position. As in the previous step, the timing may vary between kits, but I keep it at the same time (between 3-8 minutes), depending on the thickness of the eyebrows). Apply a good layer on your eyebrows using a new clean applicator or cotton cloth.
5. Set in position

Yes, I know this looks ridiculous, but many people like the magic of applying some simultaneous fixing solutions to keep your eyebrows in place and prevent them from getting rid of or falling off when set up. Without taking and without this step, I tried eyebrow lamination and I recommend you get the best results, especially if your eyebrows are thick or stubborn to keep in place. So, when you set the timer and wait, sit down, relax and embrace and put plastic wrap on your head.
6. Delete the Repair Solution
Once time has come, if you use it, you can continue to remove the wrapping film and take a dry cotton pad to remove the solution from each forehead. Make sure to remove it thoroughly from your eyebrows and skin.
7. Eyebrow oil
Next, you need the oil included in the application kit. Eyebrow lamination can make your eyebrows feel dry, so this helps add some nutrition and gives them a healthy shine.
8. brush
Now that the treatment is complete, you can use a butter brush to combed your eyebrows in place and enjoy up to 6-8 weeks of results. You need to avoid water on your eyebrows 24 hours after treatment. But for the time being, you can see the eyebrows lifting even more and stay where I put it on the spool brush.
At this stage, you can also trim or remove your hair for more embellishment looks, or have a more natural fluffy forehead look.
You need to wait for at least 6 weeks until treatment is done again to avoid over-treating your eyebrows. After this time, new hair will grow and can then be treated.

Eyebrow laminate at home has always been Gamechanger. Not only does it make my eyebrows look thicker and fuller (I can now use fewer forehead pencils to escape), but they can stay wherever I brush them. Previously, I needed a layer of eyebrows to hold the eyebrows in place, but after my eyebrows laminated I needed to brush the brush in place. This also helps bring balance and makes my eyebrows look more symmetrical, which is a huge win.
Just make sure you do patch tests (especially, like me, your skin is sensitive) and you will be careful on the side of being cautious when you first try. If you keep any solution for a long time, you can over-treat your eyebrows, making them feel fragile and dry. However, as long as you avoid contact with water within 24 hours of treatment, you can enjoy 6-8 weeks of results. This is ideal if you want to maintain lower maintenance on your eyebrows.
