Earlier Thursday, the American Meteor Association received multiple reports covering fireballs in various states, including Georgia, South Carolina and Tennessee.
Videos of these state drivers show that flashing lights in the sky quickly spread downwards.
Experts at the association describe the fireball as a bolide, a huge and rare fireball that produces sound booms.
