There are situations where no matter how many times I try to plan, I’m still stuck what to wear. Dressing for a sporting event, for example, always feels like a balancing act between casual and topical styles. But if there was one occasion that really shocked me, it was Airport attire. Torn between craving maximum comfort on board and looking chic when you land, this particular style conundrum never gets easier.
Over time, I’ve become something of an airport style magpie, constantly on the lookout for in-flight clothing that strikes the perfect balance between comfort, practicality, and style. My radar lit up today when I spotted this chic travel look on the actor Laura Harrier. Harrier passes TSA in style, creating a suit that’s not only stylish but also functional.

avoid ubiquitous things Jeans and sneakers combo As I’ve seen countless times at airports, Harrier opted for something fancier but equally comfortable: wide-leg pants and pull-on boots. In my opinion, these pants are cut with a smooth, unstructured silhouette and are the ultimate foundation for long haul flights. Not only do they offer freedom of movement, but they also offer a refined, form-fitting feel that jeans just can’t match.
However, what really stood out was her choice of footwear. While sneakers are often the go-to choice for airport attire, I actually find them to be a bit overrated for this occasion. Between the awkward tying and the fast-moving safety line, they’re not as easy as they look. Harrier’s slip-on boots, however, are a revelation. With a thick sole for extra cushioning and zero fuss to remove, they’re a practical yet stylish upgrade for winter travel.
Another detail worth noting? Harrier’s approach to tone. She stuck to a chic color palette of deep black and charcoal, creating a streamlined and cohesive look—a simple but effective tip for anyone who wants to appear more polished.
Finally found an airport formula that I think I can really rely on and I’ll be taking my style advice from Harrier from now on. To up your flying style, read on for Harrier looks below.
