Amazingly, the basic configuration has 12 GB of RAM. This is not as much as the 16 GB you get in some Snapdragon X-powered Windows texts like the next Hp omnibook 5 16– But for Chromeos, it’s more than enough. Meanwhile, the basic configuration comes with 128 GB of storage, and the updated model has a 256 GB solid drive.
Performance is solid. Speedometer is a reference that tests a performance in the browser that is important for Chromeos, as it is all built around the Chrome retail. The Lenovo Chromebook Plus 14 was about three times faster than the N4500 celery, as tested in the Asus Chromebook CX15and about half the speed of the Apple M4 on MacBook Air. I also tested a few heavier Android games like Devil: Immortal And Pubg Mobilewho played well with settings at most. That is not surprising, but it shows that this chip can handle almost everything you throw at it. Like most arms-tek computers, the Chromebook Plus 14 is just as fast on battery as it is while inserted.
Google and Lenovo also feature the AI’s capabilities of this device, as the Mediatek chip is capable of 50 trillion operations per second (TOPS), a standard accomplished by almost all of its Windows and Mac competitors. Because of this, the Chromebook Plus 14 has some exclusive on-device AI functions that you won’t find in other Chromebooks. One of the most useful is intelligent grouping that can identify the various programs and tabs you have opened and group them intelligently into separate desktops. It’s pretty convenient. Less interesting to me is Quick insertionWhat gives you unnecessarily easy access to AI-generated images. Beyond that, it also has the choice of AIs that come with all the Chromebook Plus laptops, like the helpful sequel, where I left.
The effectiveness of the Ultra 910 partner is also shining in battery life tests. It has a 60-watt-hour battery, resulting in some impressive execution. Lenovo and Google claim it’s the longest lasting Chromebook ever, and it’s the best I have tested, lasting 16 hours in a video reproduction test. It may not last as long as the MacBook Air M4 or laptops like the Asus Zenbook S 16powered by Intel’s latest core ultra series 2 piles, but it’s in the ball park. This is important because before the recent growth in arm laptops (such as the modern MacBooks), Chromebooks were known for battery life. This was mostly due to how light Chromeos was working. It’s nice to see Chromebooks return in the running.
Value where it counts

The Chromebook Plus 14 has one other trick in its sleeve. Unlike Janky’s speakers featured in almost every Chromebook, this Lenovo has a square -speaking arrangement and is the first to use Dolby Atmos. These are amazingly good speakers –almost As good as the 13-inch MacBook Air’s Audio, providing a well-rounded sound that even presents hints of bass. They are the best speakers on a laptop of this price.
Many of my points have been joined in the context of the price, and there is a reason for it. At $ 650 for the basic configuration or $ 100 more to go up the RAM and storage (and add the touch screen), the Lenovo Chromebook Plus 14 hits a price that Windows -Tech computers have struggled to deal with. There are contestants, but the Chromebook Plus 14 makes a case for Chromebooks at this price, offering several functions and total building quality you won’t find in competitors. If you are ready to embrace Chromeos, this is simply the best the ecosystem has to offer.
