Lizzo marked a milestone in her body transformation journey as she revealed she had reached her weight loss goal.

“I did it,” Lizzo, who was born Melissa Viviane Jefferson, wrote in the caption of her post. “Today, when I stepped on the scale, I hit my weight release goal.”

She continued: “I haven’t seen this number since 2014! Let this be a reminder that you can do anything you put your mind to.”

Lizzo’s post featured a mirror selfie, in which the four-time Grammy winner posed in a matching maroon sports bra and leggings set.

Lizzo also showed off her arms and mid-section in a close-up photo that listed her weight loss statistics. Since January 23, 2024, Lizzo has lowered her body mass index by 10.5, while she has lost 16% of her body fat.
“Let this remind you that you can do anything – anything you decide.”
The chart also states that Lizzo has met her weight goals, but she did not share her current weight.

Lizzo also shared the news on her Tiktok page, as she posted a video in which she candidly addressed her personal goals.
“I’m actually on an intentional weight loss journey right now,” she said in the first part of the clip. “Even at the end of my weight loss journey, I won’t be considered thin in any way. I’ll still be considered on Fat on my BMI, and the little bros on the internet will still call me ‘Big Support’.
“But I would be happy,” she stressed.
The video then cuts to a clip in which a beaming Lizzo yells, “I’m so happy!”
“I stepped on the scale and reached my weight-free goals,” she continued. Lizzo wore a black workout bodysuit before starting to dance and sing Kelly Rowland’s hit song “Like This.”
“Let this remind you that you can do anything — anything you put your mind to,” Lizzo added. “Now, I guess it’s time to set new goals.”
Lizzo has documented her weight loss journey on Instagram, and her latest update comes just months after she blasted Ozempic for her dramatic results.

In a September Instagram post, the rapper shut down speculation that she was taking type 2 diabetes medication for weight loss, attributing her body transformation to diet and fitness.
“When you finally get Ozempic charged after 5 months of weight training and calorie deficit,” Lizzo wrote on the video post.

In October, Lizzo wore Ozim-themed Halloween costumes when she was teased in a May 2023 episode of “South Park.”
At the time, she took to Instagram to share several posts that included photos and videos of herself wearing a red and white dummy slimming pill called Lizzo, with a piece of yellow sizing tape clipped around her waist.

In an April 2023 interview with The New York Times, Lizzo opened up about her body image.
“I’m not going to lie and say I love my body every day,” she told the outlet. “The most important thing is how you feel about your body every day.”

Lizzo went on to explain that she was on a diet and said her approach was to lose weight gradually.
“I’ve been very methodical and have lost weight very slowly,” she said.
