Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass accused the Trump administration of immigration and customs enforcement (ICE) operations of the pandemic, while claiming that “things in Los Angeles are quiet.”
The National Guard has been deployed Los Angeles County has continued to escalate Saturday as anti-ice protests continue to escalate. The unrest centered on Paramount, California, where protesters clashed with federal authorities, including ice officers who allegedly attempted to raid local businesses.
Some Democrats even left as President Donald Trump hits outbreaks of violent protests Blame him for his violent unrest.
Bass told CNN’s “Situation Room” co-host Pamela Brown that I just have to say if you dial back the time and go Friday, we wouldn’t have had this disease if there was no immigration raid. “I will tell you that it is peaceful now, but we don’t know where the next raid will be and when. ”

La City Mayor Karen Bass argued that Trump knew there were so many pro-migration groups that caused chaos by launching an ice raid in Los Angeles.
Bass continued to argue that by enforcing immigration laws, the government would continue to incite protesters.
“It’s a problem because people in this city have a fast response network. If they see ice, they go out and they protest,” she said. “So, it’s just a secret to pandemonium that is completely unnecessary. Nothing happens here. Los Angeles is peaceful by Friday. When we find out when and where other raids happen, it will determine the police’s reaction.”
CNN’s Wolf Blitzer then tied for how California could litigate the Trump administration’s deployment without consent, and how the LAPD police chief called on protesters to use violence. “So why not welcome more boots on the ground?” he asked.
“I think the problem here is state regime and state sovereignty, what the governor is doing is separate from what is happening in the city – but what is the reason the president has to take power from the governor and become a federal National Guard?”
“The day before this action was taken, there was a protest late at night with a little unruly. There were 100 people. Twenty-seven people were arrested. There was no reason, and that’s the focus.” “If this happened, the way it traditionally happened was to ask the governor to send troops to the National Guard. There was no requirement from the city of Los Angeles. What happened now is a completely different situation.”

She continues to blow up Trump Immigration law enforcement attacks, Knowing that this will inspire release of Lycrash.
“It’s an escalation that doesn’t have to happen. Why are there raids? You know, we’re told he’s going to follow violent criminals. It’s a homeless person. It’s a home depot. That’s where people work. What’s going to do?” she asked.
“And then know that in a city like Los Angeles – we’ve been talking about it for a long time – it has very complex long-term immigration rights organizations and institutions, and if these random attacks are going to happen, then there’s a danger of fighting back, then you’re joining the National Guard, which is a burning fuel.”
When asked if the National Guard was needed, she said it was not necessary.
“No, I don’t think the National Guard is needed right now. Things are quiet in Los Angeles.” “I’ll tell you that I feel bad about the extent of the struggle in the form of graffiti, but it’s important for people to know that even in downtown, it’s not a few streets segregated to a few streets. It’s not a citywide civil unrest in Los Angeles. Vandalists designed to arrest and prosecute are not a way to promote things like immigration rights.”

Brown condemned the violence during protests in Los Angeles local police chief Jim McDonnell, who said “he was the target of Molotov cocktails, fireworks, rocks and other projectiles” and asked what Bass was doing to support him.
Bass claimed she was “completely synchronized with the police chief” and that those who committed the crime would be held responsible, but once again condemned Trump’s ice raid.
“The attack should stop, especially in people’s workplaces,” the mayor said, worrying about the impact on the economy and the impact of touting Los Angeles as a “city of immigration.”
“I’m worried about the people who were detained on Friday, their families still have no contact with them. Attorneys can’t deal with their clients. It’s unprecedented. It’s not happening before. So, again, you want to talk about chaos. Well, it’s a contribution to chaos,” she added.

However, Brown questioned whether she was actually in sync with the police chief, noting that he said he and his troops were overwhelmed.
Bass claims McDonnell is getting support from the Sheriff’s Department and other police departments, and that everything can be managed or has calmed down.
“I don’t believe he’s describing the situation where we can’t control it. I think you should talk to him further,” she said. “But what we’re seeing is, for example, that nothing happens on our street right now. On Saturday, when this decision was considered, nothing happened on our street. As I mentioned that night, the protests were out of control. It was a protest against 100 people. Nothing deserves federal intervention, and that’s what I mean.”
