The singer, 35, calls at the end of his marriage in Hurd, 38, on Thursday, June 19, edition of “Therapums“Podcast.
“In Nashville, you know that I have divorced a year now,” Morris said. “It’s a small town and we’re all friends and we’re all working together, and the music industry is very small there.”

Morris and Hurd first met in a writing session for Tim McGrawMessenger of “Say last home” in 2013. Duo are friends in two years before their relationship has become romantic. Hurd suggested Morris in July 2017, and the couple married in March 2018, welcoming Hayes two years later.
In 2023, Morris filed for divorce from Hurd. The exes completed their separation The following year, dividing the joint custody of the hayes.
He told “therapums” that he lost friendship because of separation and other lifestyle changes in the past few years. He said he felt “like (the) Covid (pandemic) changed a lot of people. When I had my son, I would feel that people fall.”
He added that the new motherhood “was a great time, and you were alone,” but he “truly made friends with a way, and there were some people who got me a lot of people.
In the past this month, Morris shows “Dear Chelsea” Podcast and said he was “lucky” to be more, “that all the people who couldn’t think of the real world. Success.”
