On Twitter, now called X, the addition of the main thing caused a culture of “Dunking“Where users would hit or derive another person by citing their post and responding with their own chip or insulting humor. Some have argued that while Dunking made Twitter have fun, it led to more negativity on the platform instead of encouraging conversations or healthy debates.

The implementation of a mastodon of the citation post, however, aims to perform the function in a way that will limit its ability to use for hatred and persecution.

With Mastodon 4.4, quoted posts are not yet fully invented.

Instead, the organization publishes the code, which maintains to show the posts of a quote, which will allow users to see quotes from compatible federal platforms, including future mastodon editions. The ability to actually cite posts themselves will not arrive until Mastodon version 4.5 Later this year.

Other changes with the 4.4 edition are designed to improve other areas, such as profiles, navigation, lists, media controls, administrative functions and more.

Meanwhile, Mastodon will now show your pinched posts at the top of your profile in a carousel. As the app allows you to pinch up to 5 posts, having these after the other made for much move, when someone just wanted to see your more recent content.

Server administrators have access to New Legal Executive FeaturesHow to manage terms of service, offer translations of server rules into different languages, and optionally set a minimum age for new
Users.
