Meta was in a serious enough campaign to prove that it is at the most advantageous consumer -technology, and AI is not the only goal on the board. AR/XR has also been clearly a priority if the last few weeks are any indications (see this paper in Nature about its wrist -te Techniko and soak on an earthquake VR research for proof), and its vision on that front begins to actually concrete.
According to Meta CTO Andrew Bosworth, the company An annual connection conference in SeptemberWhere it shows the latest VR and XR hardware, it will be mainstream. As noted UploadivrBosworth mentioned in recent Instagram Q&A that “big portable ads” are coming, which could mean many things. In the past, that means A new search This is better or cheaper than the last generation, but this year, all signs note new smart glasses.
There are many directions that a possible meta-intelligent eyeglass could take (a new third-gene Ray-Ban Ai OccuriosFor example), but there is only one thing I really want to know about what Meta plans to offer, and it’s actually quite simple: Will its glasses have a screen or not?
If I were to guess, this is probably the biggest question in the minds of most people, at least anyone who is completely interested in smart glasses as a category. In my experience, it was the only thing that people want to know about the existing intelligent glasses of Meta Ray-Ban when they find out that I carry them. And most of those people who ask, “Does it have a screen?” are quite disappointed with my answer. As wonderfully useful as I found Ray-Bans to be, they still don’t make the idea of smart glasses feel really clever, and “clever” glasses are probably not the vibration that Meta is intended.
The good news is, for anyone who hopes (or waiting) for a pair of meta-made smart glasses with screen, it seems that those prayers could be answered. Rumors about a couple of glasses called “Celeste” It was inserted, and it seems that those smart glasses could have HUD (head exhibition screen) on them. What this HUD will do is as guess as the Celeste glasses themselves, but Rumors suggest that it will be able to show relatively simple information such as weather and notifications. There are also some rumors that those following gene smart glasses will include the body-reading wrist of Meta, which enables hand and finger gestures, but I’m a bit skeptical of that side of things, considering it still seems to show that accessory as more experiment with Non-productive glasses like Orion.
One thing you can calculate is that if there is any screen, they will probably reach a new, significantly higher price to accompany it. Rumors suggest that Celeste may end in the $ 1,000 range when it is finally available, and that is not the only thing that may balloon. If Celeste has the skills we think, it will definitely be much smarter gadget than the Radio baths of Meta, which are only slightly larger than a regular pair of sunglasses. In all ways, in my book, Meta only has one metric for success when Connect Rolls around next month, and that ultimately gives us smart glasses with a screen.
