Tech giant Microsoft Share New report Malware warning against 20 most popular cryptocurrency wallets.

Microsoft’s incident response researchers have raised a new remote access Trojan (rat) alert called Stilachirat, which could deploy “escape detection, persist in complex technologies in the target environment, and persist in the target environment, and strip sensitive data,” said Stilachirat. Share in blog post.

According to the team, the malware was discovered in November 2024 and can steal users’ wallet information, as well as any credentials stored in its Google Chrome browser, including usernames and passwords. Stilachirat targets 20 crypto wallets, including some of the most widely used wallets, such as MetAmask, Coinbase Wallet, Phantom, Okx Wallet and BNB Chain Wallet.

Although malware has not been widely distributed, Microsoft does share its inability to identify the entities behind the threat and has developed some mitigation guidelines for current goals, including installing antivirus software.

“We are sharing these findings due to its stealth capabilities and rapid changes in the malware ecosystem as part of our ongoing efforts to monitor, analyze and report on the evolving threat landscape,” the team wrote.
