Miss Ole Rebel Football Freshman Corey Adams was killed in a shooting Tennessee Officials said on Saturday night. He is 18 years old.
The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office said the incident occurred in Cordoba, east of Memphis. Respondents found a man with gunshot wounds and offered “life-saving measures” until the fire department arrived, officials said.

Later, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Adams was later identified as the victim.
Officials said deputies found multiple Shell Shells at the scene and later learned that four other shooting victims had been examined to a regional hospital. They are listed as non-critical conditions.

Ole Miss A statement about Adams’ death was later issued.
“We were to learn that freshman Corey Adams on the team died last night in Cordova, Tennessee, last night,” the school said. “While our plans are trying to cope with this tragic loss, our ideas are with his loved ones, which was in this incredibly difficult time.

“We will not comment further out of respect for his family at this time. We ask the Ole Miss community to maintain Corey’s mind and respect the privacy of all participants.”
Adams is an outstanding high school football player for Edna Karr New Orleans. The defensive winger was named as a three-star recruiting prospect. He has won the first team in the state twice.

In his junior year in high school, he had 51 tackles and 12 sacks.
