The team at Moonvalleystarting an AI generation of Los Angeles, does not think you can encourage your way to make a movie. That is why the company on Tuesday opened its “3D-conscious” model to the public, promising a “hybrid” approach, which gives filmmakers more control than other standard text-to-video models.
Moonvalley first launched his model, called Marey, In Beta in MarchAnd now released it as a monthly credit-based subscription. Users can pay $ 14.99 for 100 credits, $ 34.99 for 250 credits, and $ 149.99 for 1,000 credits. The base model will also be available on third -party platforms such as FAL.AI and Adobe. Users can generate clips up to five seconds long, which matches industrial standards for publicly available video -generation models.
The startingco-founded by former Deepmind researchers who worked Google’s own video generation modelclaims Marey is one of the few models trained completely on openly licensed data. For independent filmmaker Ángel Manuel Soto, Marey’s biggest sales point is that it democratizes access to the top AI -story tools, especially for people who have long felt closed by traditional filming. Growing up in Puerto -Riko, Soto said you would first need to compress hundreds or thousands of dollars just to rent cameras to make a movie.
“When we returned home, we had to ask permission to tell our stories,” he said. “AI gives you the ability to do it according to your own expressions without having to say no to your dreams because someone refused to fund it, because they did not think a story from your country could return a profit.”
Now, Soto says, Marey has helped him cut production costs from 20% to 40% and work more freely.
Soto previously worked with the studio of Moonvalley, Asteria, in the HBO documents, “Menudo: Forever Young.” Asteria, also known as XTR, was acquired this year by Moonvalley, according to Hemant Taneja, Director General of General Catalyst. Marey “Hybrid filming” approach
Moonvalley’s general manager and co-founder Naeem Talukdar proved for Techcrunch as Marey could be used in pre- and post-production, whether to try scenes before shooting or adjusting chamber angles after the fact, and how it can control objects, characters, movement and stage composition.
Talukdar told Techcrunch that Marey has an understanding of the physical world, which could translate to a more interactive storytelling while the Te Techniko develops. He also noted that Marey could reach near a 360-degree camera move, and obey instructions for creating pictures as if shot by a hand camera or candy.
Marey can also change the background of videos, allowing filmmakers to start with source films to build the scene they want. Talukdar played a video of a man riding a motorcycle on a suburban road, which then evolved into the same man, without a helmet, riding a slightly different bike on a country highway.
Moonvalley’s plan over the next few months is to roll new controls such as lighting, deep object trajectories and character libraries, Talukdar said.
Marey’s public edition puts it in direct rivalry with a growing field of AI -Video -Generators -Models like Runway Gen-3,, Light Dream MachineSpicy, and haiper.
