I wasn’t sure what to expect from Diadem’s new Bluecore paddle, which is among a handful of new paddles, which replaced the standard core of Honeycomb polymer with a closed cell foam-they sent me a sample of things, and it seems you could flow a gas station. This scam is much more lasting – it has a life guarantee, in fact – about the long skin and also does not risk delamination in extreme temperatures if, for example, you leave the paddle in the car on a scary summer day while you catch courtyards.
Considering how far this paddle is out of the standard, and the fact that it is price at the upper end of the range, I wanted to enter a real -time before recommending it. What I found was that the Bluecore took some time to get used to, but now is the paddle I play most. The foam core makes a milder and more forgiving feeling – it is similar to the suspension on an old Cadillac dome. While I don’t feel like I’m most useful in my service, I especially love this paddle in defensive situations against better players. It plays permanently from edge to edge and has a beautiful, big sweet spot.
Does foam end up controlling the picket market, but people who play almost every day will also be grateful that this paddle uses an aramid carbon fiber face, which is more durable than raw carbon and that the foam absorbs more vibration.
★ Another foam core paddle: I was also quite impressed by the Selkirk Labs 008A new foam core paddle from the manufacturer of our best choice for most people above. The 008 has a more traditional feeling and a smaller but more poppy sweet point. As this paddle uses a T700 -Cross -carbon fiber instead of a more lasting aramid carbon fiber, I fear that the face will lose its effectiveness even when the core remains solid.
