The Milwaukee Bucks’ front desk is busy during the offseason as the organization reorganizes the uncertainty of the franchisees’ future Giannis Antetokounmpo.
Soon after Pacers lost Game 7 In the NBA Finals, the Bucks acquired Myles Turner from Indiana. ESPN reported that Turner and the Bucks reached a $107 million deal on a four-year contract.
Turner spent a decade at Indiana State, but the NBA’s two-block leader appears to be at the Indianapolis deadlock.

While multiple reports suggest that the pacemaker was initially open to sign a lucrative contract with Turner, the team’s position on the roster building appears to have changed after Tyrese Haliburton injured Achilles tendon in Game 7.

Halliburton is expected to be eliminated throughout the 2025-26 season, which raises questions about whether pacemakers can compete for the championship in the near future.
Turner spoke with reporters in Las Vegas on Saturday when he was formally introduced as a member of the Bucks.

Turner pointed out the “alliance issue” between him and the Pacers when explaining why he decided to leave the only NBA series he once played for.
“I think, as far as I am concerned, I think there are consistent issues,” Turner said. “It’s just out of respect for the organization, out of respect for the organization, I won’t say much. But, again, you know, it’s the best decision for me, it’s the most appropriate decision I move forward and the most appropriate decision.”

Turner does admit that it’s easy for him to pick his team from the first round of the 2015 NBA Draft.
“There are a lot of decisions in it. It’s not easy,” Turner said. “I spent ten years in one place. When I arrived at the Indy Market, I was a teenager and when I just sat down and started evaluating things, looking at places in my career, looking at my life and what I wanted, I just saw the bucks put together.
“And I’m very excited about the opportunity. I had a great conversation with Doc (Rivers) and Jon (Horst) and my agent and my family. I think we all decided and eventually, I decided, that’s where I need it.”
