NFL News: Black Panther’s Jaycee Horn has a car accident on his way to the stadium

Carolina Black Panther Head coach Dave Canales confirmed that cornerback Jaycee Horn had a car accident on Wednesday while heading to the team stadium and walked away with Stiches.

Horn, 25, was alone in his car when the incident occurred at an intersection outside stadium, A team spokesperson said.

According to team representatives, no one was transported by emergency medical staff. Horn is evaluated by the team’s medical staff.

Black Panthers coach Dave Canales said Horn had some stitches in his thumb area.

“I’m glad Jaycee is OK,” Canales said. “He does have to have a few needles in the left thumb area.

Horn did not participate in the team’s joint practice Cleveland Brown Wednesday. Horn will not play against the Browns in the Panthers’ preseason on Friday, either.

Canal hopes Horn will play against the team in the second preseason game Houston Texans August 16.

“Hopefully we can turn him around so we can take advantage of Houston’s opportunity to play the game, which has been the plan,” Canales said.

Horn was one of the best players on the team last season. Ever since the team picked him in 2021 at 8th place NFL Draft He has been an influencer in South Carolina.

Horn missed time in his career as he played only 37 of 37 of the 68 regular season games in his four-year career.

However, despite the injury, the team signed a four-year, $100 million contract in March. At the time, his contract extension made him the highest paid cornerback in the NFL.
