Parsons announced his trade request on social media on Friday, and Parsons said he did everything he could to show that he wanted to stay with the Cowboys.

“Yes, I want to be here. I do my best to prove that I want to be a cowboy and wear the stars on my helmet. I want to play in front of the best fans of sports and have formed this American (SIC) team again. My pop and my pop and I have been cheering in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania since I was a kid.

“I no longer want to close the doors for negotiations without my agent present. I no longer want pictures taken for my injury while lying online for the organization, our fans and teammates. I no longer want narratives to be created and spread to the media.

Parsons said he wanted to get a contract extension after the third season, when he was eligible for such a deal for the first time, but the team had no interest. Parsons said he “can do it” and turned his attention to the 2024 season.

However, Parsons again said the Cowboys had “radio silence” in any potential contract aspect after last season.

“However, there are still no emails or text messages calling my agent to initiate the negotiations. To this day, the team has not negotiated with my agent.

“I made a tough decision and I no longer want to play for the Dallas Cowboys. My trade request has been submitted to Stephen Jones himself,” concluded Parsons.

While Jones may tell fans not to lose sleep due to Parsons’ trade requirements, it’s hard to blame them if they do.
