After a hacker attack caused by the $100 million Iranian cryptocurrency Exchange nobitex, the hacker released the full source code of the platform, putting the remaining user assets at risk.

X-threads have detailed key security metrics, including its privacy settings, blockchain cold scripts, server lists and ZIP files containing the full source code of NobItex Exchange.
The source code leaked the day after the team was responsible for exploitation and promised to release the exchange’s source code and internal files within 24 hours.

The hackers said they were targeting the exchange because it had ties to the Iranian government and participated in funding activities that violated international sanctions.
The address of the wallet used to exploit indicates that it is a “political statement, not a typical financially motivated theft,” said Yehor Rudytsia, a security researcher at blockchain security firm Hacken, told Cointelegraph.
“On EVM, assets that dispatch more than 20 tokens are sent to the cleaning burner address. If USDT reissues $55 million worth of stolen stablecoins, the only potential partial recovery could occur,” he said.

Nobitex explain On Thursday, no additional financial losses occurred and it is expected to start resuming services within five days. However, the exchange notes that internet disruptions due to Iran’s ongoing crisis are slowing progress.
