Norwegian Crown Princess’s son is suspected of 23 crimes, including rape

Police said Friday that the son of Norwegian Crown Princess is suspected of three rape and 23 other crimes.

Marius Borg Høiby, the stepson of the future king of Norway, was arrested three times in August, September and November last year.

Police attorney Andreas Kruszewski said after 10 months of investigation, Norwegian police have now handed the case to prosecutors.

Høiby’s attorney Petar Sekulic said his client “puts the charges very seriously but does not admit any misconduct in most cases, especially in cases of sexual abuse and violence”.

The 28-year-old has no royal title or official duties since his arrest on August 4, 2024 and has been under investigation.

exist statementThe Oslo Police District said they conducted a “thorough investigation” and conducted “a large number of witness interviews, several searches and a review of a wide range of digital material”.

The statement said that in the fall of 2024 and spring of 2025, Høiby was questioned several times and “worked with the police”.

Police said Høiby was suspected of four counts of sexual offensive behavior, one count of abuse and two counts of bodily injury.

Police confirmed that certain cases involving sexual offences have been dismissed due to “restrictive regulations and evidence reasons.”

“I can’t go into the number of victims further, except to confirm that this is a double-digit number,” Mr Kruszewski said.

The Norwegian Royal Building noted in a statement that the case is underway through the legal system and there is nothing to add.
