All 80 passengers and crews on board Delta Air Lines of Minneapolis, who crashed and overturned at Toronto Airport, will survive.
Two passengers described what looked like a routine origin that suddenly changed them upside down.

Mr. Koukov, 28 years, a professional skier from Colorado, was on his way to Toronto to make a ski film. During the last descent, nothing seemed to have dreamed, he said in an interview until the wheels hit the ground and the plane slipped on its right side.
Mr. Koukov said from his seat on the left side of the plane as he saw the flames as the plane hit the ground. “I wasn’t ranking quite quickly and I started a little on the floor, which was a ceiling,” he said. “People panic.”

Mr. Carlson, a rescuer, traveled at a conference in Toronto. Passengers were told that there was a strong wind, but he said that the accident pulled him out of what began as a routine descent.
“You land one minute, somehow you are waiting to visit your friends and your people.” And next minute you are physically upside down and just really turned, ”CBC told Canadian public broadcasting. “It was cement and metal.”
After the plane lost the wing and rolled, there was a tangible camaraderie in the cabins. “Everyone on this plane suddenly became very close to how to help each other, how to comfort each other, and that was powerful,” he said.
He noticed a woman who ended up under the seat and a mother and a boy sitting on the aircraft ceiling, which was now his floor. He had no idea what state was one of them, he said. “My father’s instinct and background like a paramedic species kicked in,” he said, forcing him to concentrate on all from the plane.

Mr. Carlson, who had a visible scratch on his head, said that after leaving the plane he tried to move as far away as soon as he noticed that the wing was missing and heard the sounds of the explosion. After putting his coat on the passenger, he took a photo with the phone and sent it to his family, friends and colleagues who asked about his security.
“This is my reality right now: down on asphalt and alive, which is amazing,” he said, telling how he felt.
A friend who traveled to the airport to pick him up, got into the asphalt and began to handle others. Passengers with injuries were quickly placed on buses and transported to safety, he said.
“The strongest part of today was just people, no country, nothing,” he said. “They were just people who helped each other.”
