Everyone remembers when they witnessed the most amazing beauty moments of 2024. I zoned out during a university lecture on public policy (sorry) when I was bombarded with Tiktoks, Pat McGrath’s incredible glazed doll skin Maison Margiela Spring / Summer 24 Haute Couture runway show. It was beautiful, wonderful, absolutely dramatic, and of course, ultra-viral. Each model had its own look, from the cerulean covers thin pencilsbut they all had a stained-glass-like finish on their face with an internet concoction that represented how Pat had pulled it off.
Attempts to quickly replicate the look. It was like a beauty scavenger hunt: Content creators and makeup artists were also able to combine masks and viscous glosses in search of the secret formula. McGrath finally revealed it as a goblet mask mix, once again inspiring makeup artists everywhere.
A year later, and Pat McGrath finally bottles the form of the skin fetish: the glass artist mask, officially launching on January 30th. Read on to hear more from Pat himself and my honest review. .

But I didn’t want it to remain just a runway fantasy. Beauty should be for everyone, and this mask brings the glow of that moment in Life, it can be achieved at home in minutes. technique
When it comes to applying the mask, it’s somewhat similar to applying your mill whitening mask, but the end result is more noticeable. The mask can be applied to bare skin or over makeup for a surreal plastic glow. Use a bleached brush like Pat McGrath Sublime perfection to blur the brush To apply thin layers to the face, allowing each layer to dry completely before moving on to the next.

“I love to customize the shine of the mask,” explains the legendary makeup artist. “A thin layer with a brush creates a spa-like finish, and two or three layers build up to a high-shine effect. For special options, I focus on the application on the high points of the face. The bridge of the nose, and the forehead – a shiny, shiny sculpture.”
The top tip? “Don’t forget the neck. It’s a secret place to add a touch of radiance. It’s also brighter when paired with a luminous stimulator or a smooth foundation to amplify radiance. And remember, this mask isn’t just about glow—it’s all about the incredible skin-loving ingredients they use. “
My review
It’s moments like these that remind me that it’s so much more than a routine – it’s a pure work of art. On a dull Wednesday evening, I walked into the Pat McGrath office for a demo of a Pat McGrath Makeup Artist mask. I can only describe those few hours as a fever dream of high shine, the incredibly talented makeup and hair team transformed me into her ethereal vision.
A makeup artist applied three coats to my skin because of the tinted glass, all in all, I’d say the application process took about 30 minutes. For an unfinished finish, the makeup artist used a damp brush to spread out the edges of the mask. After layering, my skin looked like an interpretation of liquid AI light: smooth, reflective, and surreally luminous. The hardest part? Trying not to when I saw my reflection in the mirror.

Applying the mask was a long process, but totally worth it. The hardest part of the process is keeping your face still throughout the application. That means no, no laughing, and no smiling, even when Dame Pat McGrath walks herself into the room and applauds the end result.
Being transformed into one of Pat McGrath’s dolls reminded me of the poetry and intricate artwork behind our makeup routines. That’s why I fell in love with makeup in the first place. To remove, the mask comes off the skin like a peeling mask: I opened my mouth and the edges of the mask quickly came off.
