Pennsylvania soldier injured in Susquehanna County

Two Pennsylvania soldiers were shot dead in response to the phone Thursday afternoon Susquehanna CountyAccording to Gov. Josh Shapiro, he shared the news in his public appearance in Bucks County.

“It’s still a positive event and once it’s over, I plan to visit the area myself,” Shapiro said.

Pennsylvania Police (PSP) is actively investigating the shooting, which took place in northeast Susquehanna County. Authorities urged the public to avoid avoiding the area near Highway 171 about five miles north of Thompson, citing on ongoing security concerns.

PSP notes that more details about the suspect will be released when it is available.

Both soldiers were taken to a nearby hospital. Their current conditions have not been disclosed.

“Lorry and I are praying for these brave soldiers, our minds are with their family, friends and every member of the state police,” Shapiro wrote in an article on X.

Senator John Fetterman, D-pa. Call it “terrible news.”

“The news about Susquehanna is terrible. We are waiting for more information about what is going on and keep these state soldiers in mind and prayer,” Fetterman wrote in an article on X.
