Schauffele told Fox News Digital in a recent interview. “Everyone has to take the same course.”

Schauffele admitted that there was a “weird rest” when golfers were in danger throughout the weekend. But, “You don’t have to hit it in bunkers or in rough places – you can only hit it in fairways.”

“I think this course is fair. I think it’s more playable because it rains a little bit, fairways and the Greens are more forgiving,” he added. “You have to be really good golf, and that’s what you should do to win the U.S. Open.”

Schauffele will become one of several major champions TPC River Heights The Travelers Championship this weekend in Cromwell, Connecticut, had the final seven wins of -22, -23, -19, -13, -13, -19, -17, -17 and -17, the opposite of the U.S. Open Score.

The 2024 PGA and Open champions won the Travelers in 2022, and while everyone wants to shoot lower, Schauffele said having two golf balls is a good balance.

“The mix of both is great. It’s healthy. I’ve never gotten rid of the U.S. Open challenge, and I never shy away from the -25 winning game,” Schauffele said. “If you have to play Oakmont for 20 weeks a week in the U.S. Open situation, you wear yourself and vice versa. If you have to take a course and win 20 weeks under 20 weeks, you wear yourself as well. I think the breakup and a little variety are great for us.”

This year’s Traveler is Schauffele’s goal to burn on Bethpage Black ahead of the Open, FedEx Cup and Ryder Cup, which is a “weird” season for him.

“They did do something that makes the TPC River Heights harder,” Schauffele said. “There were lower roughness, the fairways used to be wider, they changed a few holes to make it harder, and scored lower… Your reward is a very good shot, but there is water in a lot of holes, but there is water in a lot of holes, there is a very rough little nail on some short-side pins, a guy next to it, a guy can be low-key, but you can’t shoot badly yet, you won’t be like color yet.
