Steve Jobs knew he wasn’t an expert in filmmaking – even after the spin of Pixar, an animation studio in 1986, originally in 1986.
The Chief Creative Officer of Jobs (Pete Docter) The most innovative company in fast companies The party and summit were held on Thursday. Jobs’ attitude was “I won’t come here to direct the movie, nor will I tell you what to do.”
As a 35-year employee of the company, Docter has witnessed the operation of Apple’s co-founder. This is a leadership force noticed at work, and he hopes that he will never adopt his habits.
Jobs can quickly “analyze the true meaning of dialogue”
A skill job is to be able to refine the quality of conversations and provide core ideas concisely.
“He could walk into the room, he knew nothing about what happened, sat for about five minutes, analyzing the real purpose of the conversation,” Docter said. This made it easier for the work to help employees solve problems.
“I think it comes from years of practice,” Docter said. “That’s not something anyone is really born with.” It’s his attempt to improve his skills.
“He will call the producer at any time, day or night’
Docter said one thing about Jobs was not good at respecting people’s personal time.
“He’ll call, especially the producers — at any time, day or night, at 3 am, you’re on vacation, it doesn’t matter,” Docter said. “He wants to talk to you, you’re there.”
Docter believes that this habit comes from Jobs’ enthusiasm for what he does. Still, this is not the exercise he wants to adopt.
He said as Pixar’s leader, he tried not to call people all the time during the night, but outside of work hours “I still email people.”
“I think that’s what my wife is trying to get me to stop doing,” he said.
