one Tennessee Men Authorities said they faced many attempted murder charges after allegedly attempted to detonate explosives while law enforcement officers arrested him at their home.
Polk County Sheriff’s Office Kevin Wade O’Neal, 54, was arrested Friday and charged with 11 counts of first-degree murder, 14 counts of possession of a prohibited weapon and one count of explosiveness for murdering nine detectives and representatives.
Deputies and detectives went to O’Neal’s home on Friday to find him after he was arrested for threatening to kill Polk County public officials and law enforcement officers.
When detectives and representatives arrived, they contacted O’Neal at home and detained them.

But when they arrested O’Neal, the police noticed being frustrated in the room where they found O’Neal.
The officers saw what they thought were the IED (IED) in the room and quickly evacuated.
After the evacuation of the house, members of the Chattanooga Police Department bomb squad and alcohol, tobacco, guns and explosives (ATF) responded and executed a search warrant at O’Neal’s home. Authorities said they found 14 profiles during the search.

A further investigation determined that O’Neal allegedly tried to detonate the IED when the officer arrived, and they tried to arrest him.
O’Neal was charged with nine counts of attempted first-degree murder for allegedly murdering nine detectives and representatives at home during their arrest.

He faces two more Attempted first-degree murder The murder case of two other people being arrested.

Additionally, O’Neal faces 14 counts of prohibiting weapons – one for each weapon – one count for a single count of explosive components.
O’Neal was held in the Polk County Jail.
