Summary
- Open until June 23, Lifestyle Label Urban Shropistication has set up a playful art installation and pop-up shop in Soho to commemorate its New York origin story.
The city is maturea lifestyle brand known for its romping design and cultural satire, has arrived at the Big Apple to celebrate its decade-long journey and bring an artistic leadership pop-up to life of “hungry”.
Founded by siblings Neta and Elad Yam in 2015, he said: “Hunger is a tribute to the original spark – shaping our hunger. A tribute to the city that ignites the city’s elegance, we stand on W 33 and 11st Street, under scaffolding and steel.
The Hunger pop-up, designed by co-founder Elad Yam, is an exploration of contrast, centered on a huge pizza oven that houses the brand’s red suspender bags and a steel doll house with whimsical cell phone boxes. In this immersive environment, the tag also launched its new “Fefels Ostalgic” series and is available only on popups. Outstanding works include the 2015 university city mature hoodie, with ears, bold striped knitwear, and a metal variant of its spacious handbag.
“Ten years ago, we came to New York to tell the story of the city’s maturity. We painted our logo – two stick figures, two people who wanted to create something that people could see themselves. This personal mark becomes a portrait of us all,” the duo continued.
