Porsche Preparing to launch their next generation 911 GT3 Cup Car – It is a sharpening of its iconic one-hit racer, track-focused evolution, now based on the updated 992.2 platform. The new GT3 Cup will debut later this summer, marking an important step in the brand’s motorsports spectrum, bringing the latest aerodynamics, sophisticated handling and sustainable fuel integration to the grid.

The car was developed entirely on the Weissach facility of Porsche Racing and was extensively tested on three circuits (interior test tracks for Monza, Lausitzring and Porsche), including experienced drivers including Bastian Buus and Klaus Bachler, including Bastian Buus and Klaus Bachler. The result is a chassis and powertrain kit that stays true to its naturally aspirated roots while pushing for precision and balance.

At its core, still Porsche’s high-spinning 4.0-liter flat six-six rods, now produces about 503 hp, and is paired with a continuous transmission and redesigned drivetrain components for faster movement and greater durability. The car’s aerodynamics have been overhauled, with the redesigned front end with a wider cooling air intake, integrated hood vents and revised separators for added front end grips. The downforce profile within the wider rear rail and improved body flow balance range.

The cockpit has also been thoughtfully revised. The redesigned steering wheel, updated digital dashboard and optimized pedal layout reflect the investment in professional drivers in the World Cup, ensuring the driving experience is both intuitive and centralized. Subtle adjustments to ergonomics and visibility enhance driver comfort and situational awareness at high intensity.

One of the most important updates is located beneath the surface. The car was first developed on Porsche’s Efuel Blend, a high-performance synthetic fuel FIFA Advanced sustainable regulations. The mixture consists of 79.7% of renewable components, which reduces life cycle carbon dioxide emissions and 66% reductions in fossil fuels without compromising yield or reactivity. It’s a forward-looking integration that pays homage to Porsche’s broader sustainability roadmap while maintaining real-world racing needs.

The 992.2 GT3 Cup is built in Stuttgart – Zuffenhausen’s main Porsche facility, which will begin production in the fall of 2025 and will be officially competed in the 2026 season. Set as the title of Porsche Mobil 1 SuperCup and select Carrera Cup Champion Globally, the new 911 GT3 Cup combines sharp performance, modern cockpit and forward-looking approach to sustainability – pushing Porsche’s one-hit legacy into a new era of racing.
