The pro-Israel hacktivist group Predory Sparrow claimed on Tuesday to have hacked and taken away the Iranian banking arrangement.
The group, which is also known by its Persian name Gonjeshke Darande, claimed responsibility for the hack on x.
“We,” Gonjeshke Darande, “made Cyberattacks, who destroyed the data of the ‘Bank Seventh’ of Islamic Revolutionary Guard,” the group wrote.
The group claimed that Bank Sepah is an institution that “avoided international sanctions and used the people of Iran to fund the regime’s terrorist delays, its ballistic missile program and its military nuclear program.”

According to the independent news site Iranian InternationalThere are reports of “widespread bank interruptions” across the country. Iranian International said several bank -off affiliates were closed on Tuesday, and customers told the publication that they were unable to access their accounts.

Techcrunch could not independently control the group’s alleged cyber attack. We reached two email addresses from Bank Sepah, but the messages returned an error. Bank Sepah affiliates in the United Kingdom and Italy did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
Predatory Sparrow did not respond to a request for a comment sent to their X account, and by Telegram.
The alleged cyber attack on Bank Sepah comes when Israel and Iran bomb each other from the countries, a conflict that began after Israel began targeting nuclear energy facilities, military bases and senior Iranian military officials on Friday.
It is unclear who is behind a predatory sparrow. The group is clearly fashionable as pro-Israel or at least anti-Iranian hacktivist group and targeted companies and organizations in Iran for years. Cyber security researchers think the group has been successful in the past and made credible claims.
“Despite appearances, this actor is not completely confusing,” John Hultquist, the main analyst at Google’s mandian, wrote on x.
According to Rob Joycewho previously worked at the NSA and in the Biden administration, “Predator Sparrow’s past Cyber attacks against Iranian steel plants and gas stations has proven tangible effects in Iran.”
The most striking alleged haiku of a predator were against a steel producer who allegedly caused an explosive fire in the plant, and Against Iranian gas stationswhich caused disruptions to citizens trying to replenish the tanks of their vehicles.
