Putin gives Trump enough to demand progress on Ukraine peace

On today’s call, Donald Trump had a lot of conversations with Russia’s Vladimir Putin.

But it turned out that there seemed to be little to shout.

The Russian president gave the U.S. leader to claim that he made progress in Ukraine, but did not make him look like he was played by the Kremlin.

Trump can point out Putin’s pledge to stop attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure for 30 days. If it actually happens, it will bring some relief to civilians.

But what the United States wants is the full and unconditional ceasefire that Russia wants.

The “very terrible war” that Trump insists he can stop is still raging.

And Putin, A man is prosecuted by ICC as a suspicious war criminalhas won the top level of global politics.

Russian state media reported that the phone calls between the two presidents lasted for more than two hours. The Kremlin readings (its description of the call) are also in 500 words.

It shows that the conversation is chatting: they obviously discuss hockey on the ice, and Russian audiences will be in trouble.

After three years as a pariah in the Western world, long before that, Russia returned to deal directly with the U.S. government they wanted to participate.

The two leaders are even discussing peace in the Middle East and “global security.”

The Kremlin must work hard to believe in this transformation.

Before the call, someone wondered if Donald Trump would really put some pressure on Russia. After all, it has been obvious for over a week and it is stagnating.

But there is no sign that Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky had to dress up like Putin who endured in the Oval Office two weeks ago.

There has been no change in accounts in both countries.

Russia repeated that it wanted peace. But rather than grounding its drone and silencing the gun, it is better to say how to monitor a ceasefire that still doesn’t exist.

At the same time, it adds more conditions, aiming to cripple Kyiv’s resistance.

One requirement is that weapons and intelligence must be stopped from their allies to Ukraine.

The only hope for Ukrainians is that the United States has not agreed to this yet.

They could also point out that the appeal is more evidence that Russia has no interest in ending the invasion.

However, all the conversation will relieve the pain in Ukraine.

There must also be disappointment for US diplomacy.

But for the Kremlin, it felt like a pretty good day, the kind of unimaginable thing that Donald Trump had before he returned to the White House.
