Officials at a nuclear bomb scene in South Carolina found radioactive wasp nests.

The Savannah River mission completed the site and provided a statement to local news media Aiken Standard.
“After contaminated nests were found, the direct area was protected and investigated; no pollution was found in the area.”

“No impact on workers, the environment or the public.”
The nest was found in the F Tank Farm area, which is “located within the 310 square miles of the Savannah River site. Generally, the wasps are only a few hundred yards from their nest.”

According to the completion of the Savannah River, it has generated more than 165 million gallons of liquid nuclear waste, which has evaporated to about 34 million gallons.
Of the remaining 43 tanks, 8 were closed.
Regarding radioactive wasp nests, the New York Times reported Saturday that three other nests were found at the scene.
