- Cooper’s latest collection is an innovative reinvention of formal men’s clothing, redesigned through the designer’s unique outdoor lens
Reese Cooper Reinventing the wheel is no stranger. The Florida-born fashion designer debuted his record label in 2016 without any proper training, and then made his Paris debut for his fall and winter 2018 speech two years later. In his latest Paris showcase, Cooper once again raised his bet to a traditional coat, this time reimagining the “exquisite” outline of formal outfits and stereotypes through lenses of his sturdy outdoor gear.
Cooper is now a resident of Los Angeles and his Spring/Summer 2026 display cabinet brings the cool of his Californians, envisioning an effortlessly edgy lineup that will surely take you to the outdoors, rather than the great colleague’s office.
“My personal favorite thing is to take what you would traditionally find, and take the right thing and put it in the wrong position or in the opposite direction.” Vogue runway.
Before bringing the series to the Upper Malay showroom at this season’s Paris Fashion Week, Cooper staged the lookbook for about an hour north of Los Angeles, especially on some of the rocks on the St. Gabriel River in the Angeles National Forest.
The dirt-colored collection brings together some nylon-made blazers and is tied with torn ropes. Typical pants are spun into bagged cargo pants and dark-washed denim. The plaid pops up a pair of extra pants and tailor-made work jackets, while camouflage details find many pieces.
