Republican lawmakers warn that Mandani will be “disaster” for New York City Mayor

Republicans in the Imperial State Congressional Delegation argue that presumed democratic mayor nominee Zohran Mamdani If elected, it will be a “disaster” for New York City.

RN.Y. Rep. Nicole Malliotakis told Fox News Digital. “My mother fled the communist Cuba and did not live in New York. “We need to beat him because he is very dangerous for the future of the city – from an economic perspective (and) public safety perspective.”

Malliotakis is the only Republican representing a part of New York City.

She also ran for mayor in 2017 but lost to progressive former and ex-mother Bill de Blasio, who also held the brief and relatively unpopular 2020 presidential election.

But now, Republicans see the potential for their party to grow in a Democratic stronghold – if the self-proclaimed democratic socialist continues to be a split state of voters, just as he does on the national political stage.

Rep. Laura Gillen called Mamdani “too extreme” to lead the city. When asked if he had ideas about Mamdani on Wednesday, Rep. Dan Goldman, DN.Y. told reporters “not now.”

However, the Democratic top congressional official (Call from Brooklyn) expressed a tacit understanding of the mayor’s hope.

“He has launched an impressive campaign to be associated with New Yorkers with affordability, equity and opportunity,” Schumer said.

“I mean, even if we were given two or three points on election day, no one wanted the policies that the Zoran administration brought,” Larota said. “You look at some of his legislative agendas – legalizing prostitution, the needles New York City gave drug users, and some other things that suburban voters totally opposed.”

Mamdani’s campaign platform includes freezing rent prices for apartments controlled by rent, creating city-owned and operated grocery stores, and canceling city bus fares.
