Daniel Jacobs said he was interested in retirement to fight Jake Paul to give him a trustworthy person. The 38-year-old first two-time middleweight champion Jacobs (37-5, 30 KO) believes Paul (12-1, 7 KOS) is looking for “credit” in his boxing career, but he needs opponents like him to give him a person.
Reputation: Jacobs’ proposal
Jacobs retired last July as he made 10 rounds of decision-making losses on Shane Mosley Jr. However, he says his skills still exist and what he has learned in his long career is still in his knowledge base.
