“Being able to show Poppy what happened today, maybe because I was working or practicing instead of all the time… It’s really that they were with me this week and I’m so happy to celebrate with them.”
McIlroy told Guardian in June 2024 that the difference between him and Stor was reconciliation, saying: “Erica and I realized that our best future is a family.
When news broke about McIlroy’s divorce filing, a report in Us Weekly said that Stole was “lonely” in his marriage and that the four-time Grand Slam champion was “a tough guy because his career was a married guy.”
But the marriage wasn’t completely “irrevocably broken” like last May’s divorce papers, with McIlroy and Stole celebrating with their daughter again after a huge victory on the PGA Tour.
McIlroy made three holes at 1 a.m. Monday morning, but was enough to beat Spaun, who finished second with three shots.

McIlroy also won the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am last month, and his eyes were set on the Masters of Augusta National Golf Club in Georgia, hoping to grab his unmatched winning streak with his last win in 2014.
