“I gave myself that day,” he said. “I think Monday among the tournaments is very important as a reset.”
McIlroy is part of a field of travelers’ championships, which includes 2025 US Open Champion JJ Spaun,, Scottie Sconffler,, Collin Morikawa and Xander Schhaffele.

McGinley adds, “he seems to have enough stuff. If this is the emotional release of all in his career, I don’t know. But he’s not normal.”
