Secretary of State Marco Rubio said Tuesday that Venezuela would face “severe sanctions” if the committee refuses to accept citizens expelled from the United States.

Under the dictatorship of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, many people with protection moved to the United States.
Rubio wrote on X: “Venezuela has an obligation to accept citizens it has repatriated, which is not a matter of debate or negotiation. It is also not worthy of any reward. Unless the Maduro regime accepts consistent movement of deportation, there is no longer bias and without further excuses or delays, new, serious, serious, serious, serious, escalating measures will be imposed.”
The threat comes days after Richard Grenell, a special envoy to President Donald Trump is responsible for ensuring the release of six U.S. citizens in prison in Venezuela.
Maduro agreed to accept his citizens after initially refusing to do so.

In February, Trump ended his license to export oil, allowing Chevron to export oil from Venezuela to the United States, and Trump noted that Maduro’s administration did not meet the benchmark to promote free and fair elections.
Trump administration is working to expel Venezuela Gang members Back to their country. Last weekend, 238 Venezuelan gang members were taken to a high-security prison in El Salvador, despite a federal judge’s order temporarily blocking deportation.
In an interview with Fox News Radio, Rubio thanked El Salvadorian President Nayib Bukele for accepting the immigration.
“Venezuela should take them, but they refuse to take them. So we are lucky to have a friend like President Buckley who, in part of his meeting, said we will take a small part of them, which is a small part of you who bring them to your own prison system.”

“I think this is a very useful thing El Salvador We did it for us and President Bucker, and we are grateful for it. Frankly, I think we should continue to do that. ” he added.
