Winners
Aliens and predators
The legendary science fiction enemies occupied a center at Comic-Con 2025 and brought serious excitement to both franchises. Alien: landthe new FX show, projected an entire episodewhich fans seemed to love, and had one of the largest, most ambitious activities at the whole congress. Predator: BadlandsThe next theatrical release, confidently showed an unfinished first 15 minutes of the film, who were both incredibly awesome and very emotional. Was also Important activity And even a whole new, canonical changing end revealed for Predator: Killer of Killers that brings back the roles played Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny Glover. It had the convention center, the show, all the cosmicists, and more. It was built with over 200,000 bricks, took over 1,500 hours to draw and build, and was populated by over 8,000 mini-figures. It was a really unforgettable sight.
George Lucas
George Lucas showing until SDCC’s last day was not on our bingo cards before it was announced. So when the creator took the congressional stage for the first time to a packed hall H on SundayIt was like a church. He received a full -standing egg, and it was so terrible to see him surprise about the reaction. Together with William Del Toro, Doug Chiang, and Queen Latifah, Lucas held a court to introduce his Lucas Museum as a temple to insert the power of mythology. The discussion focused on the intention of the museum to keep art accessible to the masses in a time, where propaganda seeks to wipe history, and the call to action was so incredibly moving. The panel felt the crown jewel of this year’s congress, which really spoke to why we were all there, celebrating the popular culture we love and that inspires us.
Pennywise the clown

Over the past 20 years, San Diego Comic-Con has been zero for the latest and largest in comic book movie news. But, in 2025, it was essentially deserted. Yes, two very recent films are currently in theaters (Superman And The Ghost Four: First Steps) But outside many cosmic music for both, you didn’t really know it. DC President James Gunn was in front of the hand Peacemaker But did not talk about his current film or about future films. And Marvel, after designing its great summer 2024 edition Deadpool & Wolverine At the congress last year, all but ignored Fantastic Four. It was certainly a booth, but nowhere for anyone at the congress to see the movie (without going 15 minutes out of the way).
And yes, we know that both studios are at a time in relation to throws, with the next DC movie 11 months away and Marvel Studios’ next movie 17 months away, but it would be terrible to see or learn something. Anything.
Acme

Tron: Ares
This is strange because, on the surface, the Tron: Ares Panel had everything. Big stars, incredible effects, and some really fun pictures. There was even a booth on the floor with one of the most desired exclusions of the entire congress. But after the lights ignited after the panel, fans learned almost nothing about the movie. What is it about? Who are the characters? It was quite superficial, which, after the previous, much more informative and sincere panel for Predator: Badlands, felt like a huge contrast. Besides, while the pictures looked beautiful, it just seemed a little flat? We endure hope, especially with the certainly incredible nine-inch nails, but the panel let us want a little too much.
Jason voorhees
