Celebrating the 30th anniversary of its founding Initial d,,,,, Seiko In collaboration with Kodansha and series creator Shuichi Shigeno, a limited edition chronograph inspired by the protagonist Takumi Fujiwara’s iconic AE86.

With a diameter of less than 40 mm, the clock has reached stainless steel manufacturing. The watch’s dial features a striking panda-style two-tone design, which reflects the white and black paint jobs of the Sprinter Trueno and has the “Fujiwara Tofu Shop” logo, located at 4 o’clock. At 3 and 9, the partition mimics the gauges of the AE86’s dashboard, while the 6-point subtitle carries the stylized “D” logo, citing “Drift” and “Dream”.
Features conform to fanatical quality features, including quartz movement accurate to ±15 seconds per month, curved hard crystals and water resistance up to 10 bar. Lumibrite-coated hands and indexes ensure visibility in low light, echoing the glow of nightly street competitions.

Each piece is individually numbered in 1,995 units, a tribute to the original release year of the comic. The watch arrives with AE86’s monochrome painted collector’s box, equipped with Initial d Brand and exclusive illustration cards. Priced at 65,780 yen (about $446), the first batch has been sold out and a second wave of pre-orders is currently open through authorized retailers.
