On July 15, President Trump nominated my friend and former Gorge store clerk Eric Tung to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. If confirmed, Tung will succeed Judge Sandra’s photorecently obtained senior status after outstanding tenure. Judge Ikuta left a strong legacy, a tungsten with the ability to persist and expand.

Mike Davis: Confirm Emil Bove

Tung’s certificate is an exception. He received a philosophy degree from Yale University in 2006 and received high honors from the University of Chicago Law School in 2010. There, he served as executive editor of the University of Chicago Law Review, one of the country’s most stringent legal journals.

Following the Law School’s Board of Directors, serving as instruments for two of the most respected jurists in the United States: At that time –Judge Neil Gorsuch In the 10th Circuit and Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia. These staff are only provided to the legal elite. Even in that group, Tung stood out.

While President Trump broke into the balance of the liberal federal appeals court in his first term with 29 active judges outside Washington, D.C., 16 are Democratic nominees. The replacement of ikuta by Taokou will not change this balance, but it will ensure that the vacant seats remain in the hands of powerful constitutionalists.

Tang’s glory, morality and temperament have won him respect from both parties. The Supreme Court clerk from Justice Ginsburg to Justice Thomas signed a letter supporting his nomination. This level of transtherapy is rare and shows a lot.

A signatory, Danielle Sassoon, a former federal prosecutor, publicly disagrees with the Trump administration and he goes to great lengths to support tungsten. Her support emphasized how widespread he was admired for his intelligence and integrity, regardless of politics.

Ultimately, what really matters is Tung’s record, which is impossible. He is an excellent legalist, thoughtful jurist, and a staunch constitutionalist.

Tung’s experience goes far beyond the top of the legal profession. He served in the Justice Department’s Office of Law Policy, where he helped review judicial nominees and learned firsthand what it was like to be a good judge. As an assistant U.S. attorney in Los Angeles, he has gained valuable court experience in prosecuting serious criminal cases. Now a partner on Jones Day, Tung handles complex appeals and trials across the country.

Senator Dick Doubin

Despite this impeccable record, Don’s Senate Judiciary Committee hearing was damaged by the Guerrilla Theater. Several Democratic senators ignored his qualifications and focused on social media posts I wrote. Senator Dick Durbin, D-ill. Quote part of one of my old posts and ask Tung to “condemn” it. Tang pointed out that the norms of judicial ethics correctly refuse to impose trade-offs and clarify that my opinion is not necessarily his.

Senator Cory Booker, DN.J. Following the example, slap Don on my post marking some of the Democrats as “evil Marxists.” Booker then tries to use himself as a model of bipartisan civilization, citing his resignation with Senator John Kennedy (R-La. Again, Don refuses to be drawn into a state of political grandeur, showing the bondage and balance of federal judges we should expect.

This inner gui’s attack line is dishonest and irrelevant. Tung’s record talks to himself. Instead of interacting with his legal merits, some senators attempted to hijack another Judicial Committee hearing to score cheap political views. Tung never had bait.

His nomination also highlights the double standards of how to treat judicial diversity. As the son of Chinese immigrants and fluent Mandarin, one would think that Democrats would at least celebrate the Tao country with their sacred representation and indicators of diversity. But because he is a conservative, his background is underlined and even not used to him. The selective celebration of diversity and identity politics in judicial nominations is enormous.

Ultimately, what really matters is Tung’s record, which is impossible. He is an excellent legalist, thoughtful jurist, and a staunch constitutionalist. His combination of court experience, academic rigor and moral clarity makes him an ideal judge of appeal.

The Senate should go beyond the political posturing and immediately confirm Eric Tung. His confirmation will not only strengthen the Ninth Circuit, but also strengthen the rule of law across the country. President Trump reshapes the federal judiciary with a constitutional judge in principle and will take a big step forward under Don’s appointment.

Eric Tung is exactly what Americans want: sharp, stable and stereotypical. The Senate must take action on its return and confirm him in September.

Mike Davis is the founder and president of the third project.
