Sergio Hudson Resort 2026 Series

Met Gala 2025 was in the history of Black Playboy and tailoring more than a month ago, and it could attract locations more than a month ago, but designer Sergio Hudson’s entire new resort collection could easily appear on the star-studded red carpet. It’s no coincidence, given that Hudson is also working on VIPs at this year’s event (including everyone from Quinta Brunson to Stevie Wonder). “I designed this in my work at the Metropolis, so it was very inspired,” Hudson said.

Given that his commitment to fit and reshape classic American sportswear themes is an organic one for designers. “The tailor has always been my business,” he said. “I’ve kept women in touch for years. My mom did it when she grew up and it was in my DNA.” Hudson did stand out, wearing many famous figures over the years, including the former lady Michelle Obama and Dr. Jill Biden.

For the resort, he delivered the double-breasted tuxedo coat with satin lapels and white tuxedo jumpsuits and removable floral lapels. He also decorates his skirts by using intricate crystal patterns and creates Slinky Sequin column gowns so you don’t need too many other accessories to get them in. His most attractive suggestion is a golden button-down shirt and a matching floor skirt created with sophisticated techniques while utilizing Swarovski crystals and sequins. It looks like a Shine Overload, but he says his customers are not afraid of being dazzled and directing the room.

Hudson, who often dabbled in the appearance of men, officially introduced a custom-made men’s clothing line later this month. “This will be the first time I’ve actually sold it,” he said. Many of the men’s looks he shows here are adaptive versions of his women’s look. Model in his Lookbook Sport Twinning Red Tuxedo jacket and houndstooth suit.
