Los Angeles Dodgers Superstar Shohei Ohtani beat him with his 28th home run of the season in a 3-1 win over the Colorado Rockies on Thursday at Coors Field.
With home runs, Ohtani became the first player since Hall of Fame member Willie Mays hit 28 home runs and scored six home runs in the first 80 games of a season. Metz achieved this feat in 1954.
Ohtani’s home run was at the top of the seventh inning, with the Dodgers rising 2-1. No runners and two outs when Ohtani brought Rocky Mountain Relief Tyler Kinley’s hanging ball 418 feet into the Dodgers’ bullpen.

The Dodgers (51-31) and Royals (38-43) started the three-game series at Dodger Stadium at 8:10 pm on Friday.
