An active shooter armed with tactical equipment and rifles opened fire at Border Patrol agents on Monday as they arrived at a Border Patrol annex facility in McAllen, Texas, to open fire in the Rio Grand Valley in the Rio Grand Valley on Monday.
Agents and local policemen bombed and killed the gunman. No federal agents were attacked, but an officer McAllen was shot. Law enforcement sources said the official was in a stable condition.
Law enforcement believes the attack was a purposeful ambush targeting Border Patrol officials.
