To the right of the A bat, I let you know that this bed is made of silk or snow. I would argue that it was done with something even better – Latex. The feeling of latex can be hard noticeable, because I heard it compared to everything, from a thicker yoga mat or trampoline to even a dam. The thing is that latex has cushioning, pressure and feeling. It is also good enough to keep heat and allergens, which is a victory for warm sleepers and those with allergies. With the organic mattress of S&S, I wanted to see if this bed is really the intersection of these action aspects, coupled with ecological construction. After a week of trials, I have some people in mind that would be top candidates for this bed.

The S&S Organic mattressThe construction is ecological from top to bottom, with Testimonies Show for it. The bed contains Gots (Global Organic Textile Standard), GOLS (Global Organic Latex Standard), and ECO-institute materials. As a professional mattress tester, I can verify that these are some of the best testimonials you can regain your product’s organic claims. The latex used is from Sri Lanka, the cotton from India, and even the reels come from Toronto, Canada, to try to limit shipping contamination while maintaining this material on the continent. The ECO-Institut certificate ensures that the materials do not contain harmful substances or emits anything similar, which would controlling its “organic” status.
Based on the firmness with which you go, whether this is the firm, middle company or pen, the construction varies slightly. I went with a mid-firm that has a euro pillow. Silk & Snow states on its website that this particular firmness is intended for “side, rear and combo sleepers around,” to whom I said, “Let’s see about it.”
The construction of the Middle Company contains an organic cotton cover, an organic beaded wool, an organic covered latex, a thicker organic latex layer, and inserting coils. Now that you have the recipe, what does all this mean? Starting with the upper layers, the pillow has a Gots-certified organic cotton lid, with a woolen layer below that also shooter goths certified. Both of these materials are breathable and porous, so they aim to stay room temperature. Lana also fire resistant, which means that no created fiery barriers are used here.
The latex layers are drilled for airflow and pressure relief, and are of a particular firmer variety called Dunlop. This refers to how the latex was developed to feel, and there is a top 0.8-inch layer, a material barrier, and then a 1.5-inch layer for an advanced pillow. You have a material bar to protect the latex, and the reels at the base are inserted for customized support. They are reinforced right in the middle and around the edges, so the extra-firm sensation helps with lumbar support and avoid you from the edge while lying or sitting on the sides. To round the protection, the bottom is another wool layer to make the bed fiery.
Soft as …
The first night of testing the organic S&S, I put myself in and was cold, which usually doesn’t happen for me with mattresses. I felt the surface of the bed give a gentle push, but not in a way that fought the pressure relief around my hips and shoulders. As the week went on, I started noticing some other benefits of the bed. It was very easy to move around, giving me some extra “Oomph” if I changed sides. It was not a crack, but the latex and coil construction of the bed makes the surface very responsive. So far, I have agreed to the estimate of the end of Silk & Snow that this is a side and comb-friendly mattress.
