Six ways to style the right trend in 2025

As a fashion editor, I was very strategic and intentional when it came to incorporating trends into my closet. This trend needs to feel exploratory and timely when following the self-evident dress code I have planned for myself. It’s safe to say that my colleagues predicted or attractions on New York City streets could not test every trend driven. But I want to think that some trends are actually being disguised as style-breakers for fun. Take the right trend as an example, which has been around for decades in the corporate world.

While fit isn’t the most controversial trend, we’ve watched it boldly on the Met steps this year and played naughty in everyday outfits. It’s even more powerful when using the clock design, another classic that successfully returns to the trend cycle. Talking about the longevity of such a trend without providing my expert styling advice would be a crime. This is everything you need to fit in the summer.

Is it more iconic than a traditional suit and tie? Fashionists have completely revolutionized the ensemble and bridged the gap between men’s and women’s clothing. Once considered the only acceptable uniform for American companies is style that transcends careers and occasions. Take this appearance as an example. The oversized blazer with pants and shorts effortlessly blurs the line between “Let’s have a drink!”. and “I mean business.” slingback kitten heels and gold jewelry add a soft touch to this look. It’s hard to miss that stylish Santos de Cartier watch, filled with Cartier’s love bracelets. Too unique.

In the summer, I am not a champion of all-white clothing. While this pairing is not a two-piece suit that actually matches it, it is considered a deconstructed iteration. This white blazer has a subtle but effective waist at the waist, giving the look an hourglass shape. We chose white denim instead of the typical white casual pants to keep the season bright and fresh. If you want to add pops to the look without deviating from neutrals, add new shades to the palette. This Panthère C de Cartier Topher Bag is the perfect contrasting element, especially when kept tightly with the platinum Santos de Cartier watch.

I will come out and say: There is no fabric that is more legendary than denim. Without it, no wardrobe is complete, and there is good reason. It has enough uses to get along with other trends or become the trend itself. This set is all the evidence you need. The exposed buttons juxtaposed with the puff sleeves mimic a tailored look without heavier fabric or a more structured outline. A monochrome palette is the best background for accessories. Some of the outstanding pieces here are the Santos de Cartier watches with interchangeable naval straps, the golden Just Un Clou rings and the Just Un Clou pendant with diamonds.

I don’t know you, but there are some codes for summer tan suits. It guides the lightweight and relaxed energy we want to experience throughout the season. Easy, oversized fit doesn’t require much styling. Roll up your sleeves, slide into your favorite overhead sandals, and stack them with statements to look. It’s just that simple.

Let’s go back to the basics. All the looks we’ve explored so far, which feels the most traditional. But tradition doesn’t have to be boring. The suit is mounted and worn, without a base layer to give this stuffy feeling. It relies on the confidence and little touch of Cartier to create powerful energy that we are all chasing when we wear the “power litigation.”
