The SpaceX Starship rocket exploded Wednesday at a constellation facility in Texas during routine testing, preparing for launch flights, according to local authorities and live footage.
SpaceX said on social media: “I experienced a major anomaly at the Starbase test booth at 11 p.m. local time,” noting that “the surrounding safe areas were maintained throughout the operation and all personnel were safe and responsible.”
Local authorities explain That starship “had a catastrophic failure and explosion”, reported no damage while writing, and is under investigation. Live footage Starbase rockets exploded and shot a big fireball into the sky.
Another Starship is expected to be held at the end of this month.
