Squid GameThe first season fell apparently out of the sky in 2021, around the nine episodes and giving Netflix his greatest success so far, earning Emmys for creator Hwang Dong-hyuk, star Lee Jung-Jae, and others. Season two Arrived in late 2024 with seven episodes, picking up three years after the events of the first season. Six months later, Season third is here; It has only six episodes and starts immediately after the season two Cliffhanger.
It is tempting to wish that Netflix has just released the entire season two and three as a single patch – six months is enough time to almost forget some plot points, but not long enough to make viewers want to do Full review– But you can see why the decision was made. Player 001 (Lee Byung-hun) is supposed to be dead, though we of course know that he has only returned to the former man full-time.
Player 456 is dismayed about how he still breathes. He is also almost paralyzed with a confusing mix of the guilt of survivor and Laser beam to make 388 pay for his failures. But the other players take their miraculous return surprisingly. Most of them are much more focused on the prize money, which has increased exponentially as a result of the player -Brawl and subsequent rebellion. These events also gave the “O” side a major advantage over the “X” side, meaning that the next vote will favor the games despite all recent bloods.

Do you remember the sick little girl she made friends with work at the amusement park at the beginning of the second season? And whose father appeared in the games as player 246? Everything becomes very important in her season three arc, which also features No Eul’s own bloody rebellion.
Meanwhile, Squid GameThe other big side plot-that team of mercenaries led by Detective Jun-Ho (Wi Ha-joon) fiercely looking for the island, where the games take place-ending all the time it occupied in the second season. The audience knows that the ship captain is secretly sabotaging the mission, but the show builds the disclosure to Jun-Ho and company with some unexpected twists and, as well as the games themselves, a tick clock element that rockets the tension to heavenly levels.

He already understood that he testified so many deaths in the previous game – and the cycle continues here. The audience still can’t help but take root for him, but in season three you also care about him. His soul is clearly broken beyond repair.
Gi-hun’s suffering anchors Squid Game Season third in a deep dark place; There are much less light moments to be found, and this can be difficult for some viewers. But in the end, the story realizes how to punctuate this wicked final chapter in a memorable, very final way.
