this NFL, The Dallas Cowboys and Houston Texans jointly promised $1.5 million to communities affected by floods in central Texas, as the death toll hit nearly $70 on Sunday.
The NFL announced the donation, and they received “another unverified report of water walls” that prompted more evacuations before Texas officials shared an update.

“Two Texas teams in the National Football League – Dallas cowboys The Houston Texans united with the NFL Foundation to support victims’ families and survivors of the heartbreaking floods in central Texas, the league’s statement said. ”

“They will contribute $1.5 million to provide immediate assistance and long-term resources to those most affected by catastrophic floods.”
Texan It was first announced plans to donate $500,000 on Saturday, adding that the donation would provide support and resources for communities “affected by devastating floods.”

“We are saddened by the losses and damages that our neighbors in the Mount Texas country have suffered. We are particularly frustrated to hear children who are still missing and we are praying that they will be reunited with their families soon,” the statement continued.
“Our hearts will remain with everyone affected and in addition to donating, we will continue to support search, rescue and recovery efforts in the coming weeks.”
On Sunday, the Cowboys announced that they would match the donation.
“Our hearts are heavy as we witnessed the destruction and loss of life caused by flooding in Kerr County and rural Texas Mountain, especially for young girls and their families, and for all those lost, and all of them and their loved ones. It’s devastating and we’ve been affected by thinking and praying. We haven’t been with the important response of the rescue force for a long time, and we have also provided continuous efforts and put in longer efforts and extended $500,000 and put in $5 million in resources.

Kerr County officials said more than a dozen campers were confirmed dead as of Sunday afternoon. A counselor and 11 campers are still not blamed, and the death toll in central Texas climbed to nearly 70 on Sunday.
